Thank you for for coming to BarCamp Canberra 2012, it was great to have such wonderful range of people bring their ideas to share.
As mentioned at the end of the event, it can be hard to explain to people what a BarCamp is, and how it works, so go forth and share your experience with others and encourage them to attend future BarCamps.

BarCamp Canberra is a volunteer run event and we are always looking for people who are willing and able to dedicate some time to support the planning, unorganising and on-the-day support needed to make the BarCamp successful.

Different levels of commitment can be catered for, from a few hours each week in the months before, to helping out on the day. Most planning is done electronically with occasional meetings over coffee – so its flexible, friendly and efficient.
Ideas for future venues and sponsors
As an almost no-budget event, we are always on the lookout for sponsors and venues. ANU have provided fantastic venues for us over the last five years, but there is no guarantee that they will be able to continue to do so in the future. If you know a suitable venue, and you can help us secure it for no cost (not asking much are we?) than PLEASE let us know.
Also sponsors – we can’t hold an event like BarCamp without them, unless we charge money to attend, and we don’t want to do that. If you work in a company or can suggest one that might be interested in sponsoring future BarCamps please let us know. It can be big or small, cash or in kind. $250 and up is all it takes to make a significant contribution.
